3 African Drums Slot Review

The three drum features alter collection, board size and cell multipliers. Ultra Bonus starts with all three, while ordinary entry can produce a more limited combination.

Know this game

3 African Drums at a glance

3 African Drums has five reels, three rows and 25 paylines. Green, red and yellow Diamond Progress symbols feed their matching drum meters. The meters connect the ordinary reel game to the Hold and Win bonus.

How 3 African Drums works

Diamond progress on a 25-line field

During the bonus, prize symbols form a collection with opportunities for Mini, Minor and Major. Filling a board awards the stated 2,000× Grand. The coloured feature attached to entry can change how that collection develops, but it does not remove the full-board condition.

COLLECT gathers the current board

The COLLECT drum introduces a symbol that gathers all current symbol values. Its value depends on the board at that moment, rather than being one fixed denomination.

A useful way to read the round is to separate the individual diamond values from the collection produced by COLLECT. This avoids counting a gathered total as though it were unrelated to the symbols that supplied it. The provider frame shows the active drum above the collection field.

DOUBLE adds a second collection board

DOUBLE introduces another board, giving each board a chance to reach its own Grand condition. It is a board-expansion effect, not a rule that every current prize is multiplied by two.

This distinction is particularly important when comparing similarly named features in other games. Here, two visible grids are the defining change. Completing one board does not by itself prove that the other has completed or that two Grand awards have been earned.

MULTI builds cell multipliers one step at a time

MULTI places multipliers on random cells. If a multiplier hits a cell that already has one, the provider specifies an additional 1× boost to that cell's multiplier.

Repeated hits therefore build a cell multiplier incrementally. The saved bonus frames show different marked cells, rather than one universal multiplier applying equally everywhere. All three drum features can be active together, combining collection, extra board space and cell multipliers.

100× Bonus and 250× Ultra Bonus

The provider states a cost of 100× the base bet for Bonus and 250× for Ultra Bonus. Ultra starts with all three feature symbols active, making its additional cost a purchase of a more complete initial setup.

The round still depends on the collection that follows. A full-board Grand, the final value and recovery of the purchase cost are not guaranteed by buying Ultra. Currency amounts shown in provider frames reflect their displayed base bet and do not establish the entire available stake range.

Verdict

3 African Drums is strongest when its three feature names are read literally within this game's rules: COLLECT gathers, DOUBLE adds another grid and MULTI builds cell multipliers. Their combination gives the bonus a more specific identity than the three-meter display alone.

The published 100× and 250× entry costs make the ordinary-versus-Ultra comparison concrete. Ultra buys the complete feature setup, while board completion and the resulting payout remain separate questions.

How does the bonus start?

Diamond Progress symbols fill their matching drum meters and activate Hold and Win with the associated enhancements.

Does DOUBLE multiply all coin values by two?

No. In this game DOUBLE adds a second bonus board.

How do repeated MULTI hits work?

The provider describes a further 1× increase each time a multiplier hits the same cell.

What is the difference between the two buys?

Bonus costs 100× the base bet; Ultra costs 250× and starts with all three features active.

How is Grand awarded?

A bonus board must fill. The stated Grand is 2,000× per qualifying board; two boards do not guarantee two awards.
