3X Atomic Coins : Trinity Running Wins Slot Review
A three-by-three slot rarely offers much room to grow. 3X Atomic Coins changes that with three different upgrade ideas: Expand makes the board taller, Multi strengthens winning combinations, and Stepper keeps symbols moving through the reel set.

3X Atomic Coins at a glance
FUGASO calls the full title 3X Atomic Coins: Trinity Running Wins. It belongs to the developer's Running Wins family, but the Trinity label is the more useful clue about what happens on the reels. Instead of relying on one common hold-and-spin bonus, the game introduces three named systems that can change the same compact starting board in different ways.

How 3X Atomic Coins works
How this game differs from a basic 3x3 slot
How this game differs from a basic 3x3 slot
The starting layout is three reels and three rows. That is a deliberately simple frame: there are not many positions to inspect, so changes to the board are comparatively easy to notice. FUGASO's official announcement identifies Expand, Multi and Stepper as the central features and lists 10,000x the bet as the game's published win potential.
These features should not be reduced to three different jackpot labels. Expand changes capacity, Multi changes the size of potential modifiers, and Stepper changes where symbols are located over time. They can create different reasons for a screen to become more valuable without changing the basic idea of a paid spin.
Expand: from nine positions to fifteen
The Expand feature is the easiest to see. FUGASO says the reel display can grow from 3x3 to 3x5. That creates a taller board with fifteen visible positions instead of nine.
The important point is what expands. The reels gain more visible rows; the game does not turn into five separate reels or a 5x5 cluster layout. If the game uses more positions for eligible outcomes after expansion, those possibilities still depend on its own paytable and symbol rules.
An expanded display may look more promising because it shows additional places where Coins or other relevant symbols can arrive. But additional positions do not establish a guaranteed bonus entry or a higher long-run return. They change the playfield, not the randomness of future outcomes.
During a demo, compare the board before and after Expand activates. Count the three columns and note the additional rows. Then watch which symbols actually contribute to a paid result. That is more useful than assuming every enlargement must generate a large win.
- 3 x 3
Compact board
Three columns with three visible positions each give nine cells.
- 3 x 5
Expanded board
Expand adds two rows to the same three reels, making fifteen visible positions.
Multi: why stacked values need careful reading
The blue Collector introduces Multi into the Bonus Game. Multipliers are placed on random cells of reels one and three. The first multiplier in a cell is 2x; another multiplier landing in that same cell doubles it again, with a 32x ceiling. This is a cell-based sequence, rather than a rule that multiplies every number visible anywhere on the board.
A multiplier stays in its cell until a Bonus Symbol arrives there. It then modifies that symbol's value when it is collected. Follow the marked cell as well as the Coin: a 4x marker on an empty position is a possible modifier waiting for a qualifying symbol, not a four-times award already credited to the win meter.
The successive doubles are 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x and 32x. That progression explains the provider's description of stacked multipliers without inventing a separate global multiplier. For example, a 3x-bet Bonus Symbol collected from a 4x cell contributes 12x the bet for that collection. This is an illustration of the rule, not a recorded win or a guarantee that those values will land together.
Multi becomes particularly useful to read alongside Stepper. A moving Bonus Symbol can pass through a multiplied cell, receive the modifier for that collection, and continue moving with its original base value. The temporary collection modifier does not permanently rewrite the Coin into a larger base-value symbol. Keeping those two values separate makes later collections easier to understand.
| Multiplier event in that cell | Stored modifier |
|---|---|
| First | 2x |
| Second | 4x |
| Third | 8x |
| Fourth | 16x |
| Fifth / cell ceiling | 32x |
Stepper: symbols that move rather than remain fixed
The red Collector activates Stepper. During this feature, Bonus Symbols remain on the reels and move down one position after each respin. Their movement can let the Boost collect their values more than once before they finally leave the grid.
The distinction between movement and a locked position matters. A Stepper Coin is not fixed permanently where it first lands. Track its row after each respin, then watch the collection result. Its continued presence gives another opportunity for its value to contribute; the animation itself is not a separate cash prize.
When a Coin moves onto a cell carrying a Multi modifier, the modifier applies when that Coin is collected. Its underlying value stays unchanged for the next movement. A Coin can therefore produce different collection amounts along its route without carrying every previous multiplier with it.
Stepper also changes the ordinary ending rule. If the respin counter reaches zero while a Bonus Symbol remains on the reels, play continues until that symbol moves off. A new symbol landing during this continuation restores the counter to three respins. This is why a zero counter can still be followed by activity: the game is resolving a moving symbol, not granting an unexplained extra round.
Expand gives Stepper a taller 3x5 grid when both features are active. More rows mean a different journey through the display, but the stated movement remains one position per respin. The feature does not promise that a new Coin will arrive before the last existing symbol leaves.
- Collect
Land and collect
A Bonus Symbol can contribute its value when the centre Boost collects. A Multi cell changes that collection amount, not the Coin’s underlying value.
- Step down
Move one row
After each respin the symbol moves down one position. Further collections can occur while it remains on the reels.
- Zero is conditional
Resolve the ending
At zero respins, a remaining Bonus Symbol continues moving until it leaves. A new arrival restores three respins.
Trinity: why the three systems belong together
What makes this edition interesting is the way its features address different dimensions of the same bonus. Expand increases the grid to three reels and five rows. Multi places value modifiers on outer-reel cells. Stepper keeps Bonus Symbols travelling down the board so that they can be collected again.
The coloured collectors above the reels gather matching Special Bonus Symbols. The combination that starts the Bonus Game determines the initial features. Green corresponds to Expand, blue to Multi and red to Stepper; the bonus begins with at least one active Special Bonus feature.
A triggering Special Bonus Symbol changes into an ordinary Bonus Symbol or the Boost when the round starts. Further Special Bonus Symbols that appear during the round become Bonus Symbols and may activate their own associated features. The initial set of features is therefore not the only thing worth watching: a later symbol can upgrade the round.
The combined design has a practical consequence. With Expand and Stepper, follow the same moving Coins through a taller grid. With Multi and Stepper, distinguish a Coin's unchanged base value from a multiplied collection. With all three active, those rules operate together. This describes the supported interaction; it does not imply that every bonus will acquire every colour.
| Collector | Feature | What changes |
|---|---|---|
| Green | Expand | Three reels grow from three to five rows |
| Blue | Multi | Outer-reel cells receive doubling modifiers, up to 32x |
| Red | Stepper | Bonus Symbols move down and can be collected again |
Running Wins and the ordinary screen
Ordinary wins use five fixed paylines, with combinations read from the leftmost reel towards the right. Only the highest win on a payline is paid. Wilds substitute for ordinary symbols but not Bonus Symbols or Special Bonus Symbols. A cluster of matching icons elsewhere on the compact grid is not automatically a line win.
The Running Wins Bonus Game starts when Bonus Symbols land on all three reels. It opens with three respins and at least one Special Bonus feature. Each new symbol that lands returns the counter to three. During the bonus, the symbol set is restricted to Bonus Symbols, Jackpot Symbols and the Boost, so the ordinary fruit-machine symbols are no longer the main thing to track.
Bonus Symbols on the outer reels can carry values of 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x or 8x the total bet. The Boost appears only on reel two, remains active throughout the feature and collects Bonus Symbol values from reels one and three. Its accumulated value is added to the total win when the bonus finishes.
Without Stepper's continuation condition, the round ends when the respins run out. With Stepper active, a Bonus Symbol still travelling through the grid must move off before the feature can finish, and a newly arriving symbol can reset the counter. The 10,000x maximum-win rule is a separate hard stop and takes precedence when reached.
There is also a Lucky Riches route into the feature. A Bonus Symbol appearing in the main game can trigger an addition of enough Bonus and Boost Symbols to start Running Wins. This is a chance event, not a meter that guarantees entry after a fixed number of unsuccessful spins.
- 3 reels
Bonus Symbols across the reels
Symbols on all three reels start the Bonus Game with three respins and at least one Special Bonus feature.
- Outer reels → Boost
Boost in the centre
The Boost on reel two collects values from reels one and three; new symbols restore three respins.
- Finish / cap
Settle the feature
The accumulated Boost value joins the total win when the feature finishes. Stepper can delay an ordinary zero-counter ending; the 10,000x hard cap still ends the round.
Running Spins and direct bonus purchases
The provider client's rules distinguish enhanced paid spins from buying a bonus outright. Running Spins costs 2x the base bet and is described as making a bonus trigger five times as likely. Super Running Spins costs 4x and is described as ten times as likely. Those are changes to trigger chance, not fivefold or tenfold increases in RTP, expected profit or the size of a guaranteed win.
A direct Bonus Game purchase costs 75x the selected bet and starts with one, two or three random features. The Super Bonus Game costs 200x and activates all three. The rules state that the bonus uses the bet value that triggered it. Read the underlying bet and total charge separately; at a €1 base bet, these listed purchases correspond to €75 and €200, while the enhanced single spins cost €2 and €4.
These prices come from the identified provider client, and availability can depend on the operator and market. The menu is the place to check the option actually being offered. Choosing the all-feature purchase changes the initial feature set, but it does not guarantee a large collection, a jackpot or recovery of the purchase price.
| Option | Cost in base bets | What the price buys |
|---|---|---|
| Running Spins | 2x | Enhanced paid spin; reported trigger chance five times the ordinary chance |
| Super Running Spins | 4x | Enhanced paid spin; reported trigger chance ten times the ordinary chance |
| Bonus Game | 75x | A direct feature with one, two or three random special features |
| Super Bonus Game | 200x | Direct entry with Expand, Multi and Stepper all active |
What does the 10,000x maximum really mean?
The official FUGASO announcement gives 10,000x the bet as published maximum win potential. This is a game-level ceiling. It is not the multiplier displayed by every Multi feature, the price of Expand or a likely award on a short demo session.
The identified provider rules state that the round ends immediately when the accumulated win reaches 10,000x, including during a feature. Remaining respins or moving symbols do not extend the round beyond that cap. The provider product page lists 96.30% RTP and 13.7% hit frequency; these are published product figures, not a measurement from a short demo session or a universal promise about every operator configuration.
High win potential is relevant to a player's understanding of the design but not to a recommendation to increase stakes. The correct question is how the features work, not whether the theoretical ceiling can be reached by choosing a particular time or button.
Demo checklist: where to look first
Start with the 3x3 board and identify the ordinary paying symbols. If Expand appears, compare the new three-column, five-row layout to the original nine-cell frame.
When Multi appears, examine the underlying win and the displayed modifiers. Watch whether the game presents a total modifier or individual values, but follow the exact help screen for the arithmetic.
When Stepper activates, track the affected symbol from one position to another. Determine whether the movement contributed to a completed win; motion alone is not a credit.
If the game shows more than one feature within the same event, keep those roles separate. Expand changes room, Multi changes value and Stepper changes placement. That distinction helps prevent an elaborate result from becoming an inexplicable number.
Who will enjoy 3X Atomic Coins?
Best for: players who like compact three-reel games but want more visual development than a simple Cash Collect event. The three separately named features create a useful learning path, especially for anyone comparing the Trinity range with earlier Atomic Coins titles.
Consider first: Stepper can keep a round going after the respin counter reaches zero, and Multi applies to individual collection positions. Players expecting one simple, unchanging countdown need to learn those exceptions. A direct bonus purchase also costs substantially more than one ordinary spin.
The electrical, coin-driven presentation gives the game a more modern character than a plain three-reel classic, but the mechanisms matter more than the effects. A glowing reel does not tell you whether a multiplier has been applied.

04 / The SlotsCollector take
SlotsCollector verdict
The strongest part of 3X Atomic Coins is that it does not try to make one multiplier carry the entire feature. The expanding board, stacked modifier concept and moving Stepper all change different parts of the experience, making the nine-cell starting area feel less limiting.
The trade-off is that the compact grid hides several different calculations. A cell multiplier, a Coin's base value and the Boost's accumulated total are separate quantities, while a zero respin count may still leave Stepper activity to resolve. Learn those distinctions before judging a round by its final number. The appeal is the interaction between the three systems; the 10,000x ceiling alone does not explain how a bonus plays.

What is the full name of 3X Atomic Coins?
3X Atomic Coins: Trinity Running Wins, by FUGASO.
What is the starting reel layout?
The developer describes a 3x3 game.
How large can the grid become?
The Expand feature extends it to 3x5, with three reels and five visible rows.
What does Multi do?
Multi adds modifiers to cells on reels one and three. They begin at 2x, double on repeated multiplier landings in the same cell and stop at 32x. The modifier applies when a Bonus Symbol in that cell is collected.
What is the Stepper feature?
Bonus Symbols move down one position after each respin and can be collected repeatedly. If the counter reaches zero while one remains, play continues until it leaves; a new symbol can reset the counter to three.
Can all three Trinity features affect one round?
Yes. The triggering colours determine the starting features, later Special Bonus Symbols may add features, and the provider's 200x Super Bonus option starts with all three active.
What is the maximum win?
FUGASO publishes 10,000x the bet as the game's potential maximum.
