4 African Drums Slot Review

4 African Drums puts three coloured feature metres beneath a larger Master Drum. The collection bonus can grow in several directions at once, but each Drum has a different job.

Know this game

4 African Drums at a glance

4 African Drums uses a five-by-three base field, with the retained official configuration showing 25 lines. Coloured Diamond symbols feed matching Drum metres and can activate the collection bonus.

How 4 African Drums works

Diamonds connect the base game to Hold & Win

Diamonds connect the base game to Hold & Win

The bonus contains ordinary values and named jackpot symbols from Mini through Grand. Filling the original board awards Grand. Keep that completion condition separate from a Grand-labelled symbol arriving through another feature event: they are different ways the prize can enter the round.

Collect gathers prizes; Multi prepares cells

Collect sums the values on the board. Multi instead places multipliers on random empty cells, and a later multiplier hit on the same position increases its value by one.

This distinction gives an empty position a meaningful role. A cell can carry a modifier before it receives a prize, while a visible Diamond carries its own value. Watch both the symbol and the cell beneath it when reading the board.

More than one feature can be active, and new Diamond symbols can activate previously inactive feature metres during the bonus. A round's feature set is therefore not necessarily fixed at the moment it begins.

Extra adds rows and another completion target

Extra expands the field to five-by-five by adding two rows. It can also duplicate symbols between those extra rows, so expansion affects more than the number of available positions.

Filling the larger board awards Extra Grand. That target belongs to the expanded state; opening the extra rows alone does not complete it. The remaining-respin display continues to matter while the enlarged board develops.

The provider frames show ordinary bonus counters and the expanded field, but the retained description does not specify every reset exception. No undocumented reset rule is added to this guide.

The Master Drum can intervene in either phase

During respins, the Master Drum can release up to three Bonus symbols, potentially carrying Mini, Minor, Major or Grand. It adds another source of prizes to the ongoing board rather than replacing Collect, Multi or Extra.

In the base game, the Master Drum can trigger any or all of the three features. These are possible interventions; the source does not publish a probability or a promise that the Master will assist every ordinary bonus.

The official bonus frame with the Master active is useful for locating that layer above the three smaller Drums. Its animation is not itself a rule that the next symbol must be a particular jackpot.

What is different about Super Bonus?

Super Bonus activates all three features, boosts Bonus-symbol values and guarantees at least one Master Drum activation during the round. In that mode, the Master releases only jackpot symbols.

Those are stronger starting and intervention conditions than the ordinary bonus description. They still do not guarantee a particular total return or a full expanded board. The provider offers Buy Bonus in selected markets; availability and total cost need to be checked in the actual game menu.

The retained record does not establish an exact RTP variant or a universal stake range. A pictured €1 bet explains that image's monetary ladder, not every available configuration.

04 / The SlotsCollector take

Verdict

4 African Drums has a coherent division of work: Collect gathers prizes, Multi improves positions and Extra changes the space available. The Master Drum then adds an intervention layer that can alter an ongoing round without erasing those distinctions.

The most useful comparison is between ordinary Hold & Win and Super Bonus. Their starting features and Master guarantees differ, so a player should compare the offered cost and conditions rather than assume the word Super simply means a larger version of every ordinary result.

4 African Drums FAQ

Looking for the numbers?
See all game facts

Can more features activate during the bonus?

Yes. Diamond symbols can feed previously inactive metres and bring additional features into the ongoing round.

What does Multi change?

It modifies random empty cells. Repeated hits increase the multiplier on that cell by one.

How large does Extra make the field?

It adds two rows, expanding the board from 5×3 to 5×5.

What does Super Bonus guarantee?

All three features are active, Bonus values are boosted and the Master Drum activates at least once, releasing jackpot symbols only.

Is Buy Bonus available everywhere?

No. The provider describes it for selected markets, and the active menu determines availability and price.
