The small board hides two different routes to a feature. Lions build a nine-position matrix before the nine-spin collection round can start; Dragons use their own middle-reel trigger.

Know this game
Match enough symbols anywhere for ordinary wins, then keep the matrix condition separate from the Lions themselves. A full matrix arms the Lion trigger but does not immediately start the bonus.
Inside the game
Separate the paid block-symbol mechanic from the nine bonus spins and the Dragon pick.
Wazdan’s provider material describes 9 Lions as a nine-reel game with no paylines.
Instead of tracing fixed lines, the game pays when enough copies of the same symbol appear on the reels. The provider description states that the minimum is three or four matching symbols depending on the symbol.
This is not Cluster Pays either. The matching symbols do not need to form a connected orthogonal group.
After all nine symbols are drawn, the game automatically blocks the best set, and the player can change that selection. This lets selected symbols stay while the remaining positions are played again.
The rules explicitly count playing with locked reels as a new game, costing another stake. Do not confuse that paid action with the nine spins awarded by Lions Bonus.
When a win occurs on the first draw, the rules say the winning amount is paid once after the respin; the display should not be read as two independent payments of the same win.
A Lion landing on a reel switches on the corresponding field in the Lions Bonus Matrix.
The matrix records the required Lion appearances separately from the current paying combination.
Once every field is active, the next draw with at least three Lions starts nine Bonus Spins. Completing the matrix alone does not start them.
At the start of the Lions Bonus, previously drawn Lion symbols remain blocked.
During the following nine Bonus Spins, additional Lion symbols that appear join the blocked set.
After the nine spins finish, the retained rules state that if at least four Lions are present on the reels, the corresponding prize from the win table is paid.
This is effectively a collection/hold progression: the feature is about increasing the number of blocked Lions during the fixed nine-spin window.

Dragons Bonus is a separate feature.
The saved rules state that it starts when Dragon symbols appear on the three middle reels.
The player then chooses one of three Dragon tickets/eggs shown on screen and reveals a prize.
Wazdan’s provider description says the choices reveal different cash prizes, with a golden dragon representing the highest award.

Wazdan explicitly lists Volatility Levels™: Low, Standard and High.
The saved rules describe them as selectable modes:
Gamble lets a player risk the current win for a chance to double it, or take the amount and leave. Losing forfeits the win shown in the current-win counter.
The saved rules allow up to seven rounds, subject to the maximum-win restriction. Each draw is independent, and the player can stop after any round.
The FUN-denominated ceiling in the demo is a configuration limit for that optional gamble. It is not a replacement for the provider’s 1,000× game maximum.
Wazdan lists a 1,000× maximum win and a release date of 5 August 2018. The saved game rules also state an average return of 96.59%.
Low, Standard and High are selectable volatility profiles, so a single fixed volatility badge would leave out a central setting. These profiles concern payout frequency and size; they do not make a particular spin predictable.
The game uses a different matching-symbol system.
The matrix must already be full.
One is a matrix/collection progression; the other is a pick feature.
Low, Standard and High describe player-selectable profiles rather than one fixed risk category.
Each draw is independent according to the saved rules.

04 / The SlotsCollector take
Nine independent reel positions, a Lion matrix that must fill first, and a separate three-Dragon pick bonus.
9 Lions combines a compact nine-position board with a bonus trigger that takes two separate steps. The matrix must be full before the next draw of three or more Lions can start the feature.
That makes the matrix more informative than a quick glance at the reels. Three Lions on a board with unfinished matrix positions are not the same result as three Lions after every field has been activated.
The nine-spin bonus then has a straightforward objective: existing Lions stay blocked and newly appearing Lions join them. At the end, a count of at least four qualifies for the corresponding prize.
The block-symbol control in ordinary play deserves equal attention. Keeping symbols and playing the remaining positions again costs a new stake; it is not part of the free bonus allowance.
Dragons provide a separate, shorter interruption: the three middle reels trigger a one-of-three pick. That keeps the pick feature distinct from the longer matrix-and-collection sequence.
Selectable Low, Standard and High volatility gives the game a setting that a single risk label cannot describe. Gamble is separate again, putting an already won amount at risk rather than improving a future reel result.
The provider’s maximum is 1,000× bet. The reason to choose 9 Lions is its unusual matching and progression structure, particularly if you like tracking a visible prerequisite before a collection bonus.
