Romantic gemstones hide a more technical design. Three Scatters start eight Free Games with a whole Wild/Prize reel; six Prizes start a different five-spin feature where adjacent values merge before the blocks reveal awards.

How Diamond Explosion Sweet Love works

Why this edition requires three separate bonus explanations

Why this edition requires three separate bonus explanations

The strongest part of the design is how differently those three systems operate. Ordinary Free Games adjust the contents of an entire reel. Explosion keeps Prize positions and joins adjacent symbols into larger blocks. Jackpot Pick resolves awards through covered selections. A player who sees the same diamond-shaped art across all three should not assume the same counter or settlement rule applies.

RubyPlay lists 96.82% RTP, medium/high volatility, 8,000x maximum win and 48.24% hit frequency for its provider-default product. These figures describe the supplier's mathematical configuration, not an observed current casino RTP or a guarantee of winning.

Three Scatters begin eight normal Free Games

Landing three Scatter symbols anywhere in the ordinary reel game opens eight Free Games. If the same three-Scatter condition occurs inside that bonus, the supplier awards eight additional Free Games.

This is a clear starting and retrigger allocation. Eight is not the duration of the separate Explosion minigame, which has its own five-spin count.

The unusual part of ordinary Free Games is what happens at the beginning of each spin: RubyPlay randomly chooses a whole reel, and all symbols on that reel are treated as both Wild and Prize symbols. It is not just one randomly selected icon becoming Wild. The entire reel receives the special treatment.

That scope can affect more positions than a single Wild symbol, but an enhanced reel still does not guarantee an award. The resulting combinations and Prize effects must qualify under the game's rules.

Six Prize symbols lead to Explosion

The Explosion Free Games feature begins when six or more Prize symbols appear during ordinary play or during Free Games. It starts with five Explosion spins.

During this subfeature, new Prize symbols remain held on their positions. That gives the board a visible state that develops from spin to spin rather than clearing every Prize after an ordinary wager.

The two documented endings are running out of Explosion spins and filling the entire board with Prize symbols. A nearly complete board can still finish with empty cells if no further qualified symbols arrive.

This is not a universally three-reset Hold & Win feature. The supplier specifies five initial Explosion spins and the two endings, but the exact feature mechanics should not be replaced with the reset schedule of an unrelated Coin game.

Adjacent Prize values become larger blocks

At the end of each Explosion spin, Prize symbols next to one another combine into larger blocks. Adjacency therefore matters within this specific bonus, even though the ordinary game uses its own line rules.

The combined blocks can subsequently spin to reveal larger prizes or jackpots. The important distinction is between forming a big block and being awarded the value that the block eventually reveals. A screenshot showing a merged shape is not, by itself, proof of an identical cash payout in every session.

A player should track the original Prize positions, identify which are next to one another and then read the result of the block-reveal action. Calling every nearby gem an automatic jackpot would erase the actual rules.

The source-owned images of the merged block and its award make this sequence far easier to follow than a generic promotional illustration.

Jackpot Pick Deluxe is entered through a Wild

A Wild symbol can randomly trigger Jackpot Pick Deluxe, which offers Mini, Minor, Major or Grand prize tiers. RubyPlay describes a chance of a jackpot multiplier up to x10.

This is a separate event from ordinary Free Games and Explosion. A Wild leading to the pick does not automatically mean that six Prize symbols triggered Explosion or that the eight-spin counter has been extended.

Jackpot Pick can also appear during Free Games, but the source does not give a complete exact stopping recipe for the pick selections. We should not assert that three matching cards always end this edition's pick simply because a different RubyPlay product uses that rule.

A saved pick-board still is useful as a guide to the interface, not a probability table or a universal jackpot cash-value source.

Three counters and why they cannot be combined

There are three different time and event concepts here: eight normal Free Games, another eight when those are retriggered, and five Explosion spins when that subfeature begins.

The pick game is different again: it is a revealed-award interaction without a complete stopping count documented in the source. Those numbers should not be turned into a combined “five-to-eight-spin bonus” statement because that would obscure what the game is doing.

If Explosion begins while ordinary Free Games are active, the player should recognise the transition into a different feature state with held Prize positions. A large Wild/Prize reel in the normal bonus is not the same thing as several individual Prizes merging together.

The retained imagery captures these modes separately. None of it is new gameplay footage recorded by the author of this review.

Feature costs and mathematical limits

Separate three amounts when reading this game: the total wager for ordinary play, the actual prizes credited by a bonus, and any optional purchase price shown in the current version. The eight-spin Free Games entry and the five-spin Explosion allocation describe feature length; neither number is a fee or a guaranteed return.

Likewise, a printed jackpot amount in a screenshot must not be presented as a fixed current payout in every currency. RubyPlay's declared 96.82% RTP and 8,000x maximum remain provider-default product statistics, not evidence that the current embedded game has that exact mathematical build.

A cautious player should first understand normal Free Games and the Explosion distinction, then read the game-specific purchase and payout menu of the version actually available.

How to explore the game without confusing features

Start with the 50-payline base layout and learn the Scatter and Prize symbols. If a normal Free Games round begins, identify the entire reel selected to become Wild and Prize at the start of that free spin.

If six Prize symbols initiate Explosion, count the five initial Explosion spins and watch held positions. Look for pairs or groups of adjacent Prizes combining after a spin, followed by their separate award reveal.

If Jackpot Pick opens, identify the event as a Wild-triggered selection with its own prize tiers. The visual resemblance to other Diamond/Explosion products should not determine the payout calculation.

04 / The SlotsCollector take

Verdict: whole-reel change is the useful difference

Diamond Explosion Sweet Love is strongest because its regular Free Games make an entire randomly selected reel both Wild and Prize, while Explosion changes the spatial relationship between held prizes. The mechanics are different enough to deserve separate explanations, and their overlap can create a feature-heavy session.

The overlap of bonus modes takes some attention: an entire reel can become Wild and Prize during ordinary Free Games, then six Prizes can lead to the separate Explosion board. Building a large merged block and seeing its revealed award are different stages. This game suits players who enjoy developing prize positions and following more than one bonus counter.
