The record symbols can duplicate the reel set into several stacked arrays. Cash Activate pays consecutive Records from the left of each array, while Free Games invite a trade-off between spin count and the size of that bonus arrangement.

How Rockin' Gorilla works

Concert imagery with duplicated reel arrays

Concert imagery with duplicated reel arrays

RubyPlay lists 96.57% RTP, medium volatility, a 2,000× maximum win and 34.32% hit frequency for its provider-default product configuration. These values are not observations from a newly played SlotsCollector demo.

The game has three important systems: Record-triggered Cash Activate, a possible Jackpot Pick, and Free Games that allow a choice between 15, 12 or 10 starting games alongside different Cash Activate configurations.

This is not a simple pay-anywhere record-matching game. Record positions and the number of duplicated arrays have different meanings from the ordinary line-paying symbols.

Records on reels one and two start Cash Activate

RubyPlay describes the trigger as one or more Records on reel one and reel two. When the required left-hand Record arrangement appears, Cash Activate can begin.

The feature duplicates the initial reel arrangement into one, two or three extra arrays above the main reels. This changes the number of separately displayed areas that can contain collecting values. The duplicated arrays should not be mistaken for a new permanent number of ordinary base reels.

A saved screenshot shows a base-game concert field during a Cash Activate presentation, with Records on the left. It is a legitimate base-game feature state, not a clean idle reel screen.

The practical learning point is where the qualifying Records begin. A Record appearing on a far-right reel without the left-reel condition is not the same documented trigger.

Consecutive Records pay from the leftmost reel

During Cash Activate, the supplier says consecutive Record symbols are awarded starting from the leftmost reel in each array.

This defines the direction of the feature's collection. A high-looking Record value separated by a gap may not be part of the same qualifying left-to-right sequence; the displayed amount alone is not enough to determine the final award.

Because each duplicated array can contain its own Record arrangement, the player should inspect each array separately before adding up results. Simply counting every Record on screen and assuming all are paid would disregard the exact payout order.

The retained Cash Activate image shows multiple arrays filled with Record values. It illustrates how the board expands and how the leftmost-reel rule becomes important.

That positional calculation makes the feature more interesting than a generic “more Records equals more money” description.

Jackpot Pick: a qualifying Record or Wild

Jackpot Pick can be triggered by a Wild symbol, and the supplier also says a Record on reel five during Cash Activate may open the jackpot selection.

The key word is may. Neither condition establishes a guaranteed jackpot after every qualifying-looking symbol. Once the feature is entered, the pick game provides a guaranteed jackpot award under its own settlement rules, with tier selection determining which one.

This is different from saying the base-game Wild automatically credits a jackpot. Entry is conditional; a guaranteed tier award applies after actual Jackpot Pick activation.

A retained image shows a revealed jackpot pick board with coloured prize symbols. It is an authentic feature still but does not provide a trustworthy probability table or universally fixed cash prize amounts.

Free Games: three choices, with an important source limit

Three or more Scatters open a Free Games selection. The player is offered a choice associated with 15, 12 or 10 Free Games, alongside different Cash Activate array sizes.

This is a real choice of feature starting conditions, not a promise that the player gets all three Free Games lengths consecutively.

The current first-party passage does not provide a complete unambiguous text mapping between each spin count and each duplicated array size. An image of the selection menu is useful for understanding the types of options, but it should not be used to fabricate a universal table such as “15 always means one array, 12 always two” unless the precise source confirms it.

RubyPlay says that more Records can appear during Free Games, making Cash Activate events more prominent. That does not prove every free spin will trigger Cash Activate or award a Jackpot Pick.

A sensible way to compare the choices

The Free Games menu encourages a comparison between more starting spins and larger Cash Activate structures. A player who prefers additional opportunities may be drawn to a longer starting count; someone interested in the enlarged array presentation may prefer another option.

However, that is a difference in experience, not evidence of a favourable expected return. The packet does not supply choice-specific RTP or outcome probabilities, so it would be misleading to rank the three settings as mathematically superior to one another.

A demo is useful for learning the menu and the layout of duplicated arrays. It cannot establish which starting option has the best long-run return from only a handful of results.

The source images show the main field, duplicated Cash Activate arrays, a jackpot pick and the Free Games selection board. Their visible cash values belong to the recorded example.

04 / The SlotsCollector take

Player fit and verdict

Rockin' Gorilla is suited to players who enjoy visible mechanical expansion without changing the core five-reel base game. The concert styling makes the Record mechanic memorable, while Cash Activate gives the player an explicit positional rule: start at the left, follow consecutive Records and read each array.

Its drawback is the number of visual layers. Several duplicated arrays can make the screen crowded, and a bonus-selection picture does not tell you the true long-run expected value of each option.

The game's strongest feature is the way a fifth-reel Record can connect Cash Activate to Jackpot Pick. The separate Free Games choice adds another dimension, provided the exact mapping and limitations are respected rather than replaced with guesses.

Rockin' Gorilla FAQ

Looking for the numbers?
See all game facts

What layout does Rockin' Gorilla use?

Five reels, three rows and 50 paylines.

Which Records start Cash Activate?

Qualifying Records on reels one and two.

How many arrays can appear?

The original array can be duplicated one, two or three times.

Which Record values are awarded?

Consecutive Records from the leftmost reel in each array.

Can a Wild trigger Jackpot Pick?

It can potentially activate the selection, as can a qualifying fifth-reel Record during Cash Activate.

How many Free Games are offered?

The selection presents 15, 12 or 10 starting games.

Which Cash Activate layout comes with each Free Games choice?

The menu offers 15, 12 or 10 games, but the available rules do not establish a complete mapping from each count to an exact array size. Compare the displayed choice and its layout together; the longest starting allocation is not evidence of the highest expected return.
