Three gem meters control the bonus. Purple enhances selected symbols, Green relaxes a matching restriction and Blue changes the number of starting rows. They can activate separately or together when ten Free Spins begin.

Know this game

Shaman Song at a glance

Red Rake Gaming's Shaman Song uses expanding rows and a headline capacity of up to one million ways to win. The provider says that landing winning combinations can reveal further rows, while the Shaman+1 symbol opens an additional row directly.

How Shaman Song works

An expanding game built around three progress meters

An expanding game built around three progress meters

The maximum ways figure refers to possible paying combinations once the expansion rules allow them, not the number of wins awarded on a given spin. A board with more visible positions offers a changed layout, but matching symbols must still qualify under the game's payout rules.

Above the ordinary reel action are three gem progress meters. The Purple, Green and Blue meters correspond to different Free Spins modifiers. Learning them separately helps a player understand why two apparently similar ten-spin bonuses can play differently.

The supplier's retained data supports a 2024 release year but no universal active-game RTP, fixed number of paylines or stake interval. Those missing figures should not be inferred from a promotional screenshot.

Growing reels and the Shaman+1 symbol

The ordinary board can reveal additional rows as wins accumulate. This changing height is important for how many different positions may contribute to subsequent combinations.

Shaman+1 is an explicit row-expansion symbol. When it appears under the feature rules, an extra row is revealed. That effect should not be confused with a Wild substitution or with a gem meter automatically filling. It changes the geometry of the game.

A useful free-play observation is to count rows before and after a winning event or Shaman+1. A larger reel set is a genuine change in the available field; it is not a promise that the expanded screen will necessarily pay. The provider's “one million ways” belongs to the upper-capacity design, not to every base spin.

Triple Gem advances all three meters

A Triple Gem symbol containing all three colours advances each of the three meters by one step. That is different from an ordinary single-colour gem, which is associated with its own progress path.

The player should distinguish a meter increment from feature entry. A Triple Gem can move all three counters forward without necessarily completing one on that exact spin. When a meter is filled, the game can start the Free Spins feature with that meter's corresponding modifier active.

This makes the timing of a meter-filling event important. If one, two or all three meters become complete in the qualifying sequence, the supplier says the resulting Free Spins can combine that many modifiers. The game does not force the player to choose only one type when several have qualified.

Ten Free Spins with one, two or three enhancements

Filling any gem meter triggers ten Free Spins. The base allocation is ten for the entry described in the preserved source. That does not establish a full prohibition on bonus retriggers; the packet simply does not give an exact further-spin schedule.

The feature can begin with one, two or all three modifiers based on the meters filled. This is the distinguishing mechanic: the three progress indicators create different combinations of rules inside a recognizable ten-spin round.

Do not multiply the number of spins by the number of active gem colours. Three modifiers do not mean thirty guaranteed Free Spins. They change the way the ten-spin sequence treats symbols, matches and reel height.

Purple Gem: selected symbols get a x3 modifier

With Purple active, the supplier describes two random symbol types chosen at the beginning of the feature. Their qualifying wins are multiplied by three.

That is a selective effect, not a universal x3 on every symbol and not proof that a Purple Gem itself pays 3x the stake. The player needs to identify the selected symbols, then see whether a paying combination uses one of them.

The retained Purple illustration includes a bonus counter and selected-symbol presentation. It demonstrates which kinds of game elements are being modified, not the chance of a maximum win.

If another gem modifier is also active, Purple's symbol-specific factor remains its own rule. The supplier does not provide a universal combined-modifier formula covering every possible winning arrangement in the short packet.

Green Gem: matching no longer needs strict consecutive placement

Green changes the placement requirement for eligible wins: the affected symbols do not have to appear consecutively. Red Rake’s overview describes this as the Green matching modifier. It is different from Purple’s value multiplier and Blue’s extra row; Green concerns which arrangement can qualify, rather than a universal increase to every prize.

For a player, the useful distinction is between a match blocked by the ordinary consecutive-reel requirement and one accepted with Green active. The bonus display identifies the active gem effects. Check the highlighted paying symbols rather than assuming any two identical icons anywhere on the field must pay. The exact symbol eligibility still belongs to the game’s paytable.

Green can make an apparently disconnected arrangement meaningful, but the detailed paytable still defines what qualifies and how much it pays. It is incorrect to interpret Green as a universal pay-anywhere rule for every symbol count across every reel.

Green can operate alongside the other gem effects. A nonconsecutive eligible win may still involve a Purple-selected symbol or positions made available by Blue, but each modifier keeps its own job. Identify the qualifying match first, then the applicable value or layout effect; this avoids multiplying unrelated interface numbers together.

Blue Gem: four initial rows each spin

Blue changes the reel presentation: during Free Spins, four rows are revealed at the beginning of each spin instead of three.

This is a structural benefit rather than a direct numerical multiplier. More initial positions mean a different set of possible combinations, but they do not force a paying result. If other gem effects are active, those apply according to their own conditions on the resulting layout.

A still of the combined bonus can show why Blue matters, but it does not establish how often all three meters fill together in actual play. For a useful test, count rows at the start of a Blue-modified spin before checking the eventual payout.

Shaman Drum is a separate minigame

Three Drum symbols trigger the Shaman Drum minigame. The supplier describes the chance to earn a large multiplier, but its retained summary does not give a trusted numerical range or complete stopping condition.

This is a separate symbol-entry event from filling Purple, Green or Blue meters. A Drum can be worth watching without implying that it necessarily starts ten Free Spins or modifies the triple-meter feature with a published fixed value.

Red Rake also describes a broader multiply-all-Free-Spins-wins effect in the game. That supplier statement should be distinguished from Purple's specifically documented x3 selected-symbol rule. No unsupported automatic arithmetic should be inferred for an unrecorded combination of all active feature modifiers.

Reading a mixed-mode bonus

Start by identifying the three meters during ordinary play. Watch a Triple Gem advance each one. If a bonus begins, check which colours were active at entry: Purple changes two symbol types, Green changes a matching condition and Blue changes initial row count.

If all three appear, the result may look complex, but you can still understand it by asking those three questions separately. Did a Purple-selected symbol contribute? Did Green permit a nonconsecutive match? Did Blue provide the additional row in which a relevant symbol arrived?

Source-owned images show the expanded ordinary reel field, Drum symbols, meter progress and several modifier states. They do not supply a reliable probability of receiving any particular combination. The best use of the demo is to learn the rules, not to estimate RTP from a short run.

04 / The SlotsCollector take

Verdict: a bonus that rewards understanding its ingredients

Shaman Song stands out because its three modifiers change different aspects of the game rather than all behaving like random multipliers. Purple adjusts value for selected symbols; Green alters the matching rule; Blue changes reel capacity. The Triple Gem provides a clear way for all three progress bars to advance together.

The limitation is that the provider's short description leaves the Drum multiplier range and some combined-effect mathematics undisclosed. That is a reason to scope the explanation, not to invent a neat formula. Players who like visible progress and layered bonus mechanics may appreciate the design; those preferring fixed reels and one simple Scatter feature may find it dense.
