Read the Gong line and guardian, not the prize banner
Fangs & Fire starts with a five-by-three gong game, then separates Prowler, Serpent and combined bonus conditions. Two adjacent gongs can pay immediately; a Mythical Prize header on the base screen does not mean that the 34-gong combined feature has paid.
The first thing to understand in Fangs & Fire is the horizontal connection rule. Play’n GO calls it Link’n GO: two or more Golden Gongs must sit together in an unbroken horizontal line. Connected Gongs reveal numbers or arrows that can boost values; adjacent Gongs combine their effects for an instant award. That is more specific than merely spotting a red numbered Gong somewhere on the reels. The inspected opening shows red 5 and 8 Gongs, plus a blue up-arrow Gong, on a five-reel, three-row board. It also says PRESS SPIN TO BEGIN and displays WIN 0, so those symbols are an illustration of the pieces, not a photographed Link’n GO payment. Read the line first, then the displayed result.
The practice interface uses both coins and a bet display, which deserves care when reading screenshots. The untouched screen shows 625,000 coins, a 0.04 coin value, 25 coins and a 1.00 footer bet alongside a 25,000.00 virtual balance. After two ordinary practice spins, the captured balances are 24,999.00 and 24,998.00; both screens display WIN 0. The first later screen has a blue up-arrow and a tiger portrait, while the next has card ranks and a lone red 1 Gong. None contains a visible bonus overlay. The changing top banner, including MYTHICAL PRIZE in one frame, labels what the game can award; it does not convert an ordinary zero-win screen into a Mythical result.
The Celestial Gong Bonus is a conditional interruption rather than a guaranteed reward for every lone Gong. Play’n GO says that if at least one Gong is present and no feature has activated, a Celestial Gong may strike and add three to ten Gongs at random. Those additions can form the horizontal connections needed for Link’n GO. The word 'may' matters: a Gong on an ordinary board is a condition under which the event can happen, not evidence that it has happened or must happen next. The three inspected gameplay images show no Celestial Gong animation or awarded line, so the provider's published rule is the source for this mechanic.
Prowler and Serpent Scatters lead to different bonus boards. Three or more Prowler Scatters trigger the Prowler Bonus: three re-spins on a five-by-three grid. Each newly landed Gong resets the re-spin counter, and adjacent Gongs can combine for an award. Three or more Serpent Scatters instead open a five-by-seven grid in the Serpent Bonus. Its positions spin independently, and Gongs join for instant wins. The official public description does not assign the Prowler's three-re-spin counter to the Serpent-only mode, so the two should not be conflated. A player choosing this game for hold-style progress should know which guardian actually triggered the screen in front of them.
The combined Serpent & Prowler Bonus has a third entry rule: any five Scatters that include both guardian types. It starts with three re-spins on a five-by-seven grid, but only the lower rows are active at first. As more Gongs land, higher rows unlock. Filling 34 Gong positions summons the Mythical Prize. This is a concrete full-board condition inside the combined mode, not a conclusion to draw from the words MYTHICAL PRIZE rotating above an ordinary five-by-three screen. No captured image shows five mixed Scatters, unlocked upper rows or 34 Gongs. The article can describe the rule from the official source, but cannot present a photographed Mythical award or estimate its frequency.
The first photographed INFO view reinforces the basic horizontal idea with 'Land two or more adjacent gongs to form a win.' It also advertises 'WIN UP TO 1,500,000 COINS!' and displays Bet 1.25 in its footer. That COINS headline is an in-game unit shown under a different selected stake from the 1.00 gameplay frames. The current Play’n GO listing separately gives a 60,000× maximum win. The two figures should not be treated as two cash prizes, added together, or used to infer a payout on any captured spin. This single INFO image does not show all bonus rules, a complete paytable or the path to the Mythical condition.
The reviewed official facts list 96.36% RTP, Very High volatility, stakes from 0.25 to 100.00 and a 60,000× maximum. RTP describes the game's long-run model, not a short-session promise; the top multiplier is an upper bound rather than a normal Link’n GO award. In particular, the two photographed ordinary practice spins with WIN 0 cannot establish either Gong frequency or the likely wait for a guardian feature. The demo is useful for learning what the red numbered Gongs, blue arrows, coin controls and visible feature states look like. Check the current game's own stake and rules settings before playing in another configuration.
Fangs & Fire rewards players who like a feature tree with visibly different grids. In the base game, inspect Gong adjacency and the result field; if a bonus starts, first identify whether it is Prowler, Serpent or the mixed mode. The five-by-three re-spin counter, independently spinning five-by-seven cells and progressive unlocking of a combined board are different experiences, even though all use Gongs. The tiger and dragon artwork gives the branches a legible identity, but the gold ornament and Mythical label cannot substitute for the actual trigger rule. Players seeking a simpler, single-bonus slot may find the distinctions demanding; players who enjoy tracking a feature's state have a clear reason to try the free practice game.
