Reactoonz

Reactoonz uses a 7×7 grid and clusters of five or more matching aliens. Its distinctive rhythm comes from the space between wins: queued Quantum effects intervene after ordinary cascades run out.

Reactoonz at a glance

The important distinction is between the current cluster and the whole round. Wins charge the meters, queued effects can revive the grid, and only the end of the complete round resets the charge.

Inside the game

How Reactoonz works

One round can move between clusters and queued powers

7×7 Cluster Pays

Reactoonz uses a 7×7 grid.

Five or more matching symbols connected horizontally or vertically form a winning cluster.

Winning symbols disappear and new symbols fall into the grid. Cascades continue until no new qualifying cluster is created.

Clusters can begin anywhere on the grid; there is no requirement to start from the leftmost reel.

This is the basic loop that powers every other mechanic because wins also feed the charge meters.

Five Quantum Leap meters

All wins during a game round contribute toward five charge meters, filled one after another.

When one meter becomes full, the game randomly adds one Quantum feature to a queue.

Each completed meter randomly queues one of these four effects:

Implosion

Transforms three to six symbols into Wilds and destroys adjacent symbols.

Alteration

Chooses a symbol type and transforms matching symbols into another symbol. The rules prioritise a one-eyed symbol when available.

Demolition

Destroys all one-eyed symbols and their matching symbols.

Incision

Creates a central Wild and two intersecting diagonal lines of the same randomly chosen symbol. Like the other Quantum effects, it waits in the queue.

Implosion3–6 Wilds; adjacent symbols destroyed
AlterationMatching symbols transformed; a one-eyed type is prioritised
DemolitionOne-eyed symbols and their matching symbols destroyed
IncisionCentral Wild and matching-symbol diagonals

When queued features fire

If the grid reaches a point where no further cascades are possible, the queued Quantum features trigger.

Any new wins they create can restart normal cascades and continue charging the meters.

The meters reset only when the whole game round has finished and there are no further winning combinations.

That means a long round can move back and forth between ordinary cluster wins and queued interventions.

Gargantoon

  1. Complete the charge

    Fill all five Quantum Leap meters to add Gargantoon to the queue.

  2. One large Wild

    Gargantoon occupies a 3×3 area as a Wild. Let the resulting clusters and cascades resolve.

  3. Two medium Wilds

    When cascades stop, new symbols fall before Gargantoon becomes two 2×2 Wilds.

  4. Nine single Wilds

    When that stage runs out of cascades, another refill precedes nine 1×1 Wilds.

Giantoonz

Four matching normal symbols arranged as a square automatically form a Giantoon.

If one or more Giantoonz are part of a winning cluster, the win is doubled.

This is distinct from Gargantoon:

  • Gargantoon comes from filling all five meters;
  • Giantoonz form from a 2×2 square of matching normal symbols.

The doubling rule applies when one or more Giantoonz are in a winning cluster. It is not a separate doubling for every Giantoon in that cluster.

Fluctuating symbol

On each spin, one one-eyed symbol type is marked as the fluctuating symbol.

If that symbol participates in a winning combination, it leaves two Wild symbols behind.

Those Wilds can then help the same game round continue through later cascades.

This is another reason cascades matter more than the value of the first cluster alone.

Random Gargantoon help

The saved rules also state that on an initial non-winning spin, Gargantoon has a chance to drop four to eight Wilds onto the grid.

This is separate from the fully charged five-meter Gargantoon sequence.

RTP, max win, volatility and release

Play’n GO lists the following game-level facts:

  • RTP: 96.51%

Common misunderstandings

Gargantoon and Giantoon are different mechanics

One is a five-meter feature; the other forms from a 2×2 symbol square.

The Quantum features are queued

They can trigger after natural cascades stop and restart the round.

The meters do not necessarily reset after each individual cascade

They reset when the game round actually ends.

RTP belongs to a configuration

The listed 96.51% comes from Play’n GO’s game data. Check the information panel of the casino version for its own RTP.

Player fit

Best suited to players who enjoy:

  • cascading cluster grids;
  • base-game feature chains;
  • progress meters that can activate several effects in one round;
  • spatial Wild mechanics.

Less suited to players who want:

  • a simple Scatter-trigger bonus;
  • fixed paylines;
  • one short, isolated feature round.

04 / The SlotsCollector take

Reactoonz: our take

Cluster wins charge five meters, queue Quantum powers and eventually release Gargantoon. The giant Wild breaks into smaller forms as cascades stop, giving the same round new chances to continue.

Reactoonz is best understood as a slot where the game round can reboot itself several times.

A normal cluster starts a cascade. Those wins charge meters. When the grid finally runs out of natural clusters, queued Quantum features can alter it. If one of those creates another win, cascades restart and the meters can continue charging inside the same paid round.

That loop explains why the five meters matter more than a conventional bonus-progress bar. They do not simply count down to one feature and reset. Each filled meter can place another tool in the queue, and a sufficiently productive round can reach Gargantoon on top of those earlier effects.

Gargantoon’s split sequence also has a clear spatial logic. A 3×3 Wild creates one large block. Two 2×2 Wilds distribute substitution power across more of the grid. Nine 1×1 Wilds spread it further. Every stage is followed by refills that can create new clusters.

Giantoonz use almost the opposite logic. They begin as four matching normal symbols in a square and become one oversized unit whose presence doubles qualifying cluster wins. The similar names are unfortunate for quick reviews, but mechanically they are unrelated.

The fluctuating symbol adds another small persistence layer. A winning cluster can leave Wilds behind, meaning the grid after a win is not merely a random replacement of what disappeared.

There is no conventional “Free Spins bonus” needed to explain why Reactoonz can produce long sequences. Its depth is already inside the base game-round architecture.

The 4,570.3× maximum describes the payout ceiling. The defining rhythm is the sequence of cluster, charge, queued intervention and renewed cluster; each continuation can change the state of the same paid round.
