Marlin Masters: Atlantis moves the fishing-and-cash-collection theme into an underwater setting built around Marlin symbols, Fisherman collectors and two different bonus entries. Hacksaw Gaming describes cash-valued fish that may pay through a LootLine or through collection, which is a much more useful distinction than a generic “catch fish for prizes” description.

Know this game

Marlin Masters Atlantis at a glance

The two named features are Sunken Empire, triggered with three Free Spins Scatters, and Pose for Poseidon, triggered with four. Their starting spin counts differ, as does the chance of reaching later upgrade levels. That choice of trigger makes the bonus system worth examining before chasing a maximum-win number.

How Marlin Masters Atlantis works

Marlin symbols and why their cash values are conditional

Marlin symbols and why their cash values are conditional

A standard Marlin carries a visible cash value. Hacksaw states that the value is paid when the Marlin participates in a qualifying LootLine or is collected by a Fisherman. It is not enough merely for a fish with a large printed amount to sit somewhere on the display.

This difference changes how players should read the board. Look for the relevant LootLine or collection event, then see which Marlin values are counted. A group of valuable-looking fish may create anticipation, but its visible total is not necessarily a completed award until the required game action occurs.

The provider also describes Jackpot Marlins. When these are part of a LootLine or collected by a Fisherman, they reveal one of four jackpot prizes on the sign outside the grid. That reveal is a distinct event from a normal cash-value Marlin.

A Jackpot Marlin leads to one of four prize reveals on the sign outside the grid, rather than showing the same kind of fixed cash amount as an ordinary Marlin. Read the revealed tier and award when it resolves. The public feature description does not name all four tiers or establish one currency-independent set of jackpot amounts.

Ordinary Marlins and Jackpot Marlins are resolved differently

Fisherman: collect everything currently visible

The Fisherman symbol acts as a collection trigger. Hacksaw says it collects all Marlin and Jackpot Marlin symbols on the grid when it lands.

That is one of the clearest mechanics to observe in a demo. First identify the cash-valued fish, then watch for a Fisherman. The collection is an event that resolves eligible amounts; it is not a promise that every future fish will also be collected.

The Fisherman can also appear carrying a multiplier up to 20×. The supplier explains that this modifier is applied to the cash value of collected Marlin symbols. It would therefore be misleading to treat a displayed 20× Fisherman as a 20× award merely for appearing on the reels without a qualifying collection.

A useful distinction is between a large cash value on one fish and a multiplier on the collecting Fisherman. Those may combine during a qualifying collection, but the amount still depends on the values actually present and the detailed game rules.

Ordinary Marlins display cash values; Jackpot Marlins lead to a separate prize reveal.

A Fisherman can carry up to 20×, applied to eligible collected Marlin cash values. The modifier alone is not a stake payout.

LootLine versus Fisherman: two paths to a cash award

LootLine is not synonymous with a conventional fixed payline whose exact symbol requirements can be guessed from another slot. The provider specifically names LootLine as one of the ways Marlin symbols can pay.

A Fisherman is not the only route to a Marlin award: an eligible LootLine can pay the fish value too. Follow the qualifying line when no collector is present, and follow the collection event when a Fisherman lands. The exact line requirements come from the game's paytable; the public feature overview does not give a complete matching-symbol threshold.

In practice, this creates a second layer to each reel result: a Marlin may matter because of its role in a paying line, because a collector captures it, or because it is a Jackpot Marlin that triggers a prize reveal. These distinctions make the game more interesting than a simple five-symbol match board.

Sunken Empire: three Scatters, ten Free Spins

Hacksaw's official product page says that three FS Scatter symbols trigger the Sunken Empire bonus with 10 Free Spins.

The round uses a progressive Trident Bar and upgrade levels. That is the main reason not to describe the bonus as just ten ordinary spins without a cost. The trident indicator tracks development of the bonus and can affect its evolving state under the feature rules.

The public overview does not explain every threshold for the Trident Bar, how many upgrades are possible or exactly how each is applied. The correct player-facing approach is to watch when the bar advances and what visibly changes afterwards, rather than promising a particular multiplier after a guessed number of fish.

Ten Free Spins is the documented starting award. It is not proof of a maximum feature length or a precise retrigger schedule.

Pose for Poseidon4 FS Scatters15Higher chance of reaching upgrade levels.

Pose for Poseidon: four Scatters, fifteen spins

Four FS Scatters open Pose for Poseidon, which Hacksaw describes as 15 Free Spins with an increased chance of reaching upgrade levels.

That is a genuine difference from Sunken Empire. It starts with more spins and the provider explicitly associates it with more opportunities to reach upgrades. It is still not accurate to claim that this mode always pays more, automatically reaches the highest level or has a superior RTP without further mathematical evidence.

For a player, the distinction is understandable before the bonus begins: three Scatters open the shorter Trident progression feature, while four open a longer version with improved potential to advance. Neither statement supplies a probability of landing the trigger.

Jackpot reveals and why a headline prize is not a strategy

Hacksaw describes four jackpot possibilities tied to collected or LootLine-qualified Jackpot Marlins. A jackpot symbol has to satisfy that game rule before the reveal occurs; it should not be treated as a direct coin with a known cash value from its artwork alone.

Likewise, the Fisherman's multiplier may create an impressive displayed payout when eligible cash fish are present, but that has little to do with predicting the next outcome. There is no source-backed evidence here for a “better time to spin” or a method of selecting a jackpot tier.

The jackpot reveal and a Fisherman multiplier belong to different parts of the feature. A cash-valued Marlin can be multiplied by its collector, while a Jackpot Marlin reveals one of the separate prizes on the external sign. Neither event tells you the chance of the next jackpot or establishes another fishing game's maximum as this game's limit.

A practical free-demo test

Start by finding a Marlin with a printed amount and distinguishing it from a Jackpot Marlin. Watch how the game handles ordinary cash-valued fish and which events release their amounts.

Next, locate a Fisherman symbol. If a collecting action occurs, try to identify all fish that were collected in that event. If a multiplier appears on the Fisherman, compare it with the collected cash values; do not assume it multiplies unrelated reel wins.

When a feature triggers, read the entry: three Scatters and Sunken Empire versus four Scatters and Pose for Poseidon. Keep an eye on the Trident Bar as the feature continues, but do not infer undocumented upgrade triggers from one spin.

Finally, treat a jackpot reveal as one governed event, not as proof of the frequency with which similar symbols will occur in a larger number of spins.

RTP and other configuration facts

Hacksaw's public feature overview explains Marlins, Fisherman collection and the two Free Spins entries, but it does not specify a complete current RTP and stake table. The relevant numbers are those shown for the configuration you open. Keep them separate from the Fisherman's up-to-20× modifier, which applies to collected fish values rather than describing the whole game's return.

For a quick rules check, locate the selected stake first, then distinguish a printed Marlin cash value from a Fisherman multiplier and the jackpot sign. Those are different amounts with different roles in resolving a win.

04 / The SlotsCollector take

SlotsCollector verdict

Marlin Masters Atlantis is strongest when you think of it as a two-path cash system. Marlins can pay through LootLine or collection, the Fisherman can enhance a collection with a multiplier, and jackpot-valued fish reveal a separate prize type. Those are clear, distinct mechanisms that reward careful reading.

The two bonus entries also make sense. A fourth Scatter changes not just the feature name but the starting spin count and upgrade prospects. The downside is that much of the appeal depends on tracking cash-valued symbols, so a player who prefers ordinary line wins without collection modifiers may find the game busy.

Best for: Hacksaw fans and players who enjoy fish-value collection tied to a visible bonus progression indicator. Consider first: a printed 20× collector multiplier is an upper bound on one modifier, not a promised payout.
