Inside the game
Conditional expansion and two different Free Spins modes
Wins connect matching symbols from the leftmost reel across adjacent reels. The base format is:
Wild Cat substitutes for regular paying symbols. It can also expand downward toward the bottom of its reel, but only when the expanded form would contribute to at least one winning combination. If it does not qualify to expand, it remains a single Wild position. Each reel can hold only one Wild Cat at a time.
A regular Wild symbol can carry a multiplier value. If an expanding Wild Cat covers that Wild, the multiplier is absorbed and applied to the whole expanded Wild Cat. The inspected rules list possible Wild multiplier values: 2×, 3×, 4×, 5×, 6×, 7×, 8×, 9×, 10×, 15×, 20×, 25×, 50×, 100× and 200×. If a winning combination contains more than one expanded Wild Cat with multipliers, the multiplier values are added together before being applied to the win.
Three FS Scatter symbols in the base game trigger Ro$$ Bonus with 10 Free Spins.
In this mode:
If an upgrade occurs and fewer than ten Free Spins remain, the remaining count is reset to ten. If ten or more remain, the current count stays unchanged.
Ro$$ increases the chance of Wild Cat and WILD symbols appearing. That is an increase in their occurrence, not a statement that each individual multiplier has a higher value.
Four FS symbols in the base game trigger Maxx Bonus with 10 Free Spins.
Its key mechanic is reel activation.
The first time a Wild Cat lands on a reel, that reel becomes activated. Once activated, a Wild Cat is guaranteed to land on that reel on every remaining Free Spin.
That creates a progression structure:
Three FS symbols in the bonus add four extra spins. An activated reel continues returning a Wild Cat during those remaining spins, but its exact landing position is not described as a fixed Sticky Wild.
RIP City exposes FeatureSpins and direct Bonus Buy options.
The saved official rules give separate RTPs for normal play and each paid entry. Compare like with like: a FeatureSpins or direct-buy percentage describes that mode in the recorded configuration.
The provider catalog separately lists base configurations of 96.22%, 94.27%, 92.32% and 88.02%. Those configuration variants must not be confused with the six entry modes in this table.
| Entry | RTP |
|---|---|
| Normal play | 96.22% |
| BonusHunt FeatureSpins | 96.44% |
| Two Wild Cats FeatureSpins | 96.34% |
| Three Wild Cats FeatureSpins | 96.31% |
| Ro$$ Bonus buy | 96.20% |
| Maxx Bonus buy | 96.41% |
The inspected rules list:
Feature buys can exceed the normal bet-range ceiling.
The rules say the maximum can be reached in the base game, Ro$$ Bonus or Maxx Bonus.
Reaching 12,500× ends the game round, including any remaining bonus activity. The same ceiling applies whether the limit is reached in normal play, Ro$$ or Maxx.
A Wild Cat lands on a reel. If expanding it would contribute to a win, it can extend downward to the bottom.
If the expanding cat covers a WILD multiplier, that value transfers to the whole expanded cat.
Apply the cat multiplier to the contributing win. With multiple expanded cats in one winning combination, add their multipliers first.
Both bonuses start with ten spins when triggered from the base game. Their progression rules differ:
A Ro$$ upgrade sets fewer than ten remaining spins to ten; it does not add ten to the counter. If ten or more already remain, that count stays unchanged.
| Rule | Ro$$ Bonus | Maxx Bonus |
|---|---|---|
| Base-game trigger | 3 FS Scatters | 4 FS Scatters |
| Starting spins | 10 | 10 |
| Wild behaviour | More likely Wild Cats and WILD symbols | Activated reels guarantee later Wild Cats |
| 3 FS retrigger | 4 extra spins | 4 extra spins |
| 4 FS in Ro$$ | Upgrades to Maxx after the spin | Reel activation is already active |
The saved buy menu uses a €2 base bet. It shows €6 BonusHunt, €40 Two Wild Cats, €100 Three Wild Cats, €220 Ro$$ and €400 Maxx entries.
Those are different total entry costs, not alternative labels for an ordinary €2 spin. Use the displayed stake and confirmation amount together when comparing choices.
During Ro$$, watch when multiplier Wilds appear before a cat expands and when Scatters retrigger or upgrade the feature. During Maxx, follow the first activation of each reel and the cat returning there on later spins.
Expansion is conditional on the expanded symbol contributing to a valid win.
When more than one expanded Wild Cat multiplier applies to the same win, the values add.
The rule is stronger/more specific: the reel is activated, and a Wild Cat is guaranteed to land on that reel for remaining spins.

04 / The SlotsCollector take
A Wild Cat expands only when it helps a win. Covering a multiplier Wild transfers that value to the whole cat, while Maxx Bonus activates reels so cats return on every remaining spin.
RIP City is a good example of a slot where one Wild mechanic is strong enough to carry the entire design.
The 19-payline base game is intentionally straightforward. You do not need to learn a cluster system or a changing grid before you can understand what a win looks like. The complexity starts when Wild Cat appears.
The expansion rule is smart because it is conditional. A Wild Cat does not simply fill a reel every time it lands. It expands when that expanded shape would matter to a winning combination. That keeps the feature tied to actual win evaluation instead of turning every appearance into a decorative full-reel Wild.
The multiplier interaction gives the mechanic its second layer. A regular Wild that gets swallowed by the expansion does not disappear harmlessly; its multiplier transfers to the entire expanded Wild Cat. That can turn one reel into a much more important part of the line win.
The arithmetic is easy to misread: multiple expanded Wild Cats contributing to one win add their multipliers. For example, contributing 2× and 3× cat multipliers give 5×, not 6×. This is an illustration of the rule, not a recorded result.
Ro$$ Bonus is the simpler of the two Free Spins modes. It increases the chance of seeing the core Wild mechanics more often, which makes it a natural extension of the base game.
Maxx Bonus changes the structure more dramatically. Reel activation means the feature has memory. Once a reel has been activated by a Wild Cat, that reel keeps producing a Wild Cat for the remainder of the bonus. The feature therefore becomes more interesting the earlier reels are activated.
That progression is where Maxx Bonus gets most of its tension. Activating four or five reels near the end of the feature is not equivalent to activating them near the beginning. The remaining spin count determines how much value the persistent reel state has time to generate.
RIP City suits players who like a familiar five-reel format with visible bonus progression. The contrast between more frequent Wild activity in Ro$$ and persistent reel activation in Maxx gives the two bonuses different things to follow.
