Know this game
Money Train 4 makes more sense if you separate three layers: Scatter Pays in the base game — wins are evaluated by symbol count rather than fixed paylines. Base-game Respins — certain base-game events can create sticky symbols and multipliers before the main bonus is involved. Money Cart Bonus Round — a separate three-spin reset feature where feature symbols can combine, persist and modify one another.
Inside the game
Money Train 4 makes more sense if you separate three layers: Scatter Pays in the base game — wins are evaluated by symbol count rather than fixed paylines. Base-game Respins — certain base-game events can create sticky symbols and multipliers before the main bonus is involved. Money Cart Bonus Round — a separate three-spin reset feature where feature symbols can combine, persist and modify one another.
Money Train 4 evaluates matching symbol counts anywhere on its 6×6 base board. The two highest symbols need at least eight matches; the other paying symbols need ten. The total count at the end of the round determines the paytable award.
Money Train 4 adds a base-game Respin layer before the Money Cart Bonus.
When the Respin feature activates without a Money Cart trigger, the most common symbol on the board is selected and locks in place. More copies and multiplier symbols can keep the sequence going. Multipliers add together but do not stick; evaluation follows when only blanks land in the open positions or the board fills.
The Money Cart Bonus is the core of the game.
The provider explains that the feature begins with 3 spins. New eligible symbols can extend/reset the remaining spin count according to the current rules, while value symbols and feature symbols accumulate on the board.
Money Train 4 is different from a simple Hold & Win feature because many symbols do not just carry values. They actively modify: other symbols; rows; multipliers; persistence; the spin counter; future feature availability.
These returning Money Train roles remain useful anchors for players who know the series.
Collector Collects values from relevant symbols into its own total/value state.
Payer Adds value to other eligible symbols.
Sniper Targets eligible symbols and increases their values.
The Arms Dealer is one of Money Train 4's important new symbols.
Relax Gaming describes it as exchanging/converting Bonus symbols into feature symbols. The player-facing significance is that a board with ordinary value symbols can be transformed into a much more feature-dense board.
The Unlocker opens additional rows in the bonus.
This is a structural feature, not a direct payout. Its value comes from creating more board space for later value/feature symbols.
The Upgrader can turn ordinary feature symbols into persistent versions.
Persistence is one of the defining layers of Money Train 4. A feature that would normally activate once can become active again on later spins, dramatically changing the possible feature combinations.
Reset Plus increases the starting value of the spins-left counter by one. Only one Reset Plus can land in a bonus. This is distinct from the ordinary reset to three whenever a new symbol lands, and it does not trigger a new Money Cart round.
Money Train 4's real complexity comes from combinations.
An upgraded persistent character can keep interacting with newly arriving symbols. Unlocking more rows creates more space for those interactions. Value increases from Payer/Sniper can then feed into Collector-style collection.

The recorded session uses FUN credits. Its FUN 0.10–6 endpoints are separate from Relax Gaming’s EUR 0.10–6 provider listing. Base RTP is 96.10%. The Buy Feature rules label 96.50% as bonus-bet RTP; this is not evidence of an independently activated base-game toggle. Original and Persistent buys were viewed, not purchased.
Symbol values
Symbol totals anywhere on the base board determine the award.

05 / The SlotsCollector take
Money Train 4 is a 6×6 Scatter Pays slot built around feature combinations rather than paylines. Its checked rules state a 150,000× round cap, 96.10% base RTP and 96.50% for Feature Buy, labelled bonus-bet RTP in those rules. The Money Cart Bonus mixes value symbols with collectors, payers, row unlocks and persistent upgrades.
Money Train 4 is not difficult because any single mechanic is impossible to understand. It is difficult because there are so many mechanics that can exist on the same board.
The cleanest way to learn it is to ignore the full feature list at first. Watch for three categories: value symbols, characters that change value, and structural symbols that change how long or how large the bonus can become. Once those categories make sense, names such as Arms Dealer, Unlocker and Upgrader stop feeling like isolated gimmicks.
Collector gathers visible values, while Payer adds value and Sniper doubles targeted values. Arms Dealer can convert one to four Bonus symbols into active feature symbols. Unlocker opens a row, and Upgrader converts one to three features into persistent versions. Reset Plus raises the starting spins-left counter by one; ordinary new-symbol landings separately reset it to three.
That is why the bonus can produce very different-looking rounds even when it starts from the same basic three-spin structure.
The persistent layer is especially important. A persistent feature can activate again on later spins, so one early symbol can influence several subsequent events. This creates the possibility of interaction chains that do not exist when every feature fires only once.
The 500× Persistent Feature entry changes the starting state: it guarantees one Persistent Symbol at entry. The 100× Original Feature uses the normally triggered setup and can still begin with a persistent symbol. A stronger starting guarantee does not establish better purchase value.
The base game also deserves more attention than it often receives in Money Train reviews. Money Train 4 includes a Respin layer with sticky-symbol/multiplier behaviour, which gives normal play more structure before the Money Cart appears. That makes the sequel less dependent on a single bonus trigger than a page focused only on the buy menu would suggest.
The checked rules distinguish 96.10% base RTP from 96.50% in the Buy Feature section, where it is called bonus-bet RTP. That section covers the Original and Persistent entries; it is not evidence that a separate base-game Bonus Bet toggle was activated.
The 150,000× maximum is huge enough to dominate marketing copy, but it is not the best way to explain why Money Train 4 feels different. The more meaningful difference is feature interaction density. Even a bonus nowhere near the cap can involve several characters, row changes and persistent modifiers.
For players who enjoy learning complicated systems and watching a feature state evolve, Money Train 4 is a natural fit. For players who prefer one clear Wild mechanic or a single Free Spins multiplier, the bonus can feel like too much information at once.
The demo is useful for learning the symbols before committing to a mode. Keep the rules alongside normal play, recognise the icon and ask whether it changes value, board capacity or persistence. A large headline cap does not tell you how those interactions will develop in any particular round.
