Know this game

Snake Arena at a glance

Read the arena in terms of space: a longer body covers more tiles, but its own shape can eventually block movement and end the feature. Wild Chase uses a different, reel-based interaction.

Inside the game

How Snake Arena works

The board carries the progression; a fixed starting spin counter is not the feature’s defining rule.

5×5 arena

The provider lists a 5×5 layout.

That square grid matters because the main bonus is spatial:

  • the snake moves across tiles;
  • knights become targets;
  • consuming a knight increases the snake’s length;
  • the growing body can eventually block further movement.

Snake and Knight Wilds

Relax Gaming says:

  • Snake symbols represent Wilds;
  • Knight symbols represent Wilds.

Landing both symbols at the same time activates Free Spins.

The two identities matter: Snake and Knight share the Wild role in the base game, then become the moving snake and its targets inside the feature.

Free Spins

  1. Find a knight

    The snake pursues knights on the grid during Free Spins.

  2. Grow after a catch

    Reaching a knight consumes it and lengthens the snake. Its body then covers more tiles of the arena.

  3. Watch the available space

    The feature continues until the snake’s movement is blocked by its own body. The visible route and body length explain the ending condition more clearly than expecting a fixed ten-spin bonus.

Wild Chase

Relax Gaming says Wild Chase can trigger randomly at any time.

If the snake and knights meet on the same reel:

  • the whole reel becomes Wild.

This is a separate feature from the Free Spins chase.

Buy Feature

Relax Gaming lists a purchase option for the Free Spins feature. Its attraction is direct entry to the growing-snake sequence, rather than waiting for Snake and Knight to land together.

A displayed purchase price is a separate cost from an ordinary spin. Check the selected stake and the full price in the casino’s menu before confirming; the retained provider overview does not give one universal buy price.

RTP

Relax Gaming lists 96.25% RTP for its general configuration and 90% for the German-market version. These are different models, so the game title alone does not identify which return is active.

The percentage describes a theoretical long-run return. It does not tell you how many knights a particular snake will consume, when a bonus will end or what a short session will return.

Bet range

The provider’s euro-denominated stake range is €0.10–€100. This describes the normal game configuration listed by Relax Gaming, rather than the total cost of a purchased bonus.

A casino may offer different currency increments or limits. Read the amount selected for the next spin and the separate price of any feature purchase; a change of currency is not evidence of an identical numerical range.

Maximum win

Relax Gaming lists a maximum payout of 2,758.8× bet. It is the game’s payout ceiling, separate from snake length, covered positions or a multiplier attached to an individual symbol.

The cap is a limit rather than a likely outcome. The distinctive reason to explore this slot is how the visible chase grows and then closes itself off, not an expectation that a longer-looking snake must approach the ceiling.

Release and game identity

Snake Arena was released on 7 January 2020 according to the retained first-party catalog. Its central feature combines a square grid with the familiar visual idea of a snake that grows after reaching a target.

That presentation makes progress easy to follow without giving the player control of the route. It remains a slot feature; choosing a direction or planning a path is not part of the documented rules.

About the retained game view

The retained official launch did not provide a playable demo. The image here is the game’s feature introduction, not a captured Free Spins result.

The rule descriptions come from Relax Gaming’s saved game page. They explain the Snake/Knight trigger and chase, while current casino controls and purchase pricing depend on the version offered there.

Common misunderstandings

Two Wild identities, one trigger

Snake and Knight both substitute, but their joint appearance also starts Free Spins.

Whole reel or growing body

Wild Chase turns a reel Wild when Snake and Knight meet on it. The Free Spins chase grows a body across the arena instead.

An ending condition, not a route puzzle

The snake eventually blocks itself. The player watches that state develop; the rules do not offer steering decisions.

Player fit

Best suited to players who enjoy:

  • grid-based slots;
  • visible feature progression;
  • unusual Wild interactions;
  • spatial bonus mechanics.

Less suited to players who want:

  • a very high maximum-win cap;
  • a simple fixed-number Free Spins feature.

04 / The SlotsCollector take

Snake Arena: our take

A growing snake turns Free Spins into a chase across a 5×5 arena.

Snake Arena uses a genuinely visual bonus state.

Many Free Spins features are easy to explain as “N spins with a multiplier.” Snake Arena is different because the state of the board itself becomes the progress meter.

Every consumed knight makes the snake longer.

That length is useful because the snake covers more positions, but it also creates the condition that eventually ends the feature: the body can block the snake’s own movement.

That makes the bonus both progressive and self-limiting.

The growing snake is a representation of a slot feature, not a deterministic puzzle that the player can solve. Its shape makes progress readable without turning the feature into a strategy game.

Wild Chase is a separate spatial interaction. A meeting on the same reel can make that entire reel Wild, whereas Free Spins develops the snake’s body across the board.

Snake Arena’s 2,758.8× cap is lower than the ceilings of some modern high-cap slots. Its main differentiator is the growing-snake feature and its state-based ending condition.
